Open letter to the President
Dear Mr. President,
Was Joe Wilson right when he blurted out "You lie!" during your address to Congress last summer, or was he predicting the future?
I just read that in a recent interview with The Washington Post you claimed that you did not campaign on a "Public Option" for health care insurance.
However, as many blogs were quick to document, in the past few years you have repeatedly stated that your health care reform plans would include a public option. Even in your address to Congress you said something to the effect that you would not sign a bill if it did not contain a public option.
Please explain to me how your recent words can be interpreted to not clash with your words from the campaign trail.
